    Common Issues: Root rot when sitting in water. Lack of light will cause stretching and plant will lose the bushy appearance. Direct sun will crisp the leaves.

    Comments: Despite its common names, this plant is not a fern, but actually a type of decorative asparagus. The root system has been known to break pots if left root-bound for too long. If proper conditions are met, small white bell flowers appear, followed by small red fruit. 

    Toxicity:  Fruit is not edible and will cause stomach aches.
